Detailed Description: Schneider Electric / Square D Modicon™ X80™ 3-Port Ethernet RIO drop adaptor with ethernet backplane is used to transfer data bi-directionally between the I/O modules installed in the same remote backplane and remote IO head module installed in the CPU backplane. It is supplied with three ports for integrating service port and device networks. It is used for RSTP support, configuring IP parameters and diagnosing for remote I/O devices. The collected inputs from adapter are published to the I/O head adapter and output modules are updated with data received from remote I/O head adaptor. CCOTF function is available for reconfiguring the logging without restarting database.

Adapter offers 10 milli-seconds of stamp time for data recording. It is wired in daisy chain loop topology for conveniently connecting multiple devices. Red and green color LEDs are provided for signaling adapter operation status. It is compatible with HART, weighing, analog I/O, discrete I/O, counter, Ethernet and multifunction input module. Adapter operates at temperature rating of -25 to 70 deg C, stored at temperature rating of -40 to 85 deg C and works in environment that has relative humidity of 95%. Drop adapter is UL listed and CSA certified.
