Detailed Description: Blackburn / Elastimold Automatic tension splice features high-strength aluminum alloy tubing that covers the connection to provide corrosion protection and long life. Splice is 13-3/4 Inch long and accommodates conductor of size 4 AWG ASCR, 4 - 2 AWG AAAC, 4 - 2 AWG AAC. Splice is 4 AWG orange, 2 AWG red color-coded and has die-cast, precision-made jaws that offer optimum contact area for a greater range of conductor sizes. It has color-coded end pieces that provide visual identification of maximum conductor size. Color-coded tape eliminates errors and allows quick installations. Splice has funnel shape to guide conductor into position for insertion. It features pilot cap that envelops strands and guides conductor past serrated jaws and into the center of the splice. It automatically determines proper insertion length of both conductors using tubular center stop. Tension splice is RoHS compliant.
