Detailed Description: Siemens 2-Pole Type 1 Fused heavy-duty safety switch employs quick-make, quick-break operating mechanism for positive operation. It has a horsepower rating 1-1/2 hp for 1-Phase/two-wire applications, 3 hp for 3-Phase/3-wire applications at 240 VAC and 5 hp at 250 VDC. It has a current rating of 30 Amps. It has visible blade and arc chutes that dissipate heat and sustain switch life. The 2-Fuse safety switch offers highly visible red handle grip and is ergonomically designed for hook stick operation. The handle can be padlocked in the OFF position with up to three padlocks with 5/16-Inch hasps. It is housed in a unique enclosure design to enhance rigidity and prevent cuts/scrapes to conductors and installer's hand.

Safety switch features embossed aluminum nameplate for highly visible ON/OFF indication. Side-hinged door of the switch opens past 180 deg for convenient wiring. Door labeling includes replacement parts list for instructive information. The door latch ensures secure hold on closed door and allows cover padlocking. Safety switch comes with hinged clear line terminal shield that has probe holes for testing or inspecting line side terminals. It comes with defeatable dual cover interlock and tangential knockouts through 600-Amps for easy conduit line-up. It includes front removable mechanical lugs that are field convertible to copper
