Detailed Description: Edwards 517T Series photoelectric smoke alarm is designed for multi-family, residential and institutional occupancies including homes, apartments, hospitals and hotels. It is engineered to virtually eliminate nuisance alarms and deliver outstanding performance wherever reliable fire protection is required. It provides a three position test feature that simulates 0.85% and 3.5% actual smoke condition in full compliance with NFPA 72 and UL 217 standards. It measures 6-1/2 Inch x 2-1/8 Inch x 6-1/2 Inch. It also provides a maintenance indicator and makes the 100% testing requirement easy.

Alarm has 5-to-1 signal-to-noise ratio and 3-Pulse temporal pattern evacuation sounding device. It includes a solid-state non-latching piezo horn that is rated at 90 dB at 10 ft. It has nominal 2.5% sensitivity and temperature range of 40 to 100 deg F. It has maximum operating current and voltage rating of 0.070 Amp and 120 Volts respectively. It is provided with dust cover to prevent contamination during installation. Alarm is UL listed and CSA certified.
