Detailed Description: Appleton Multiple Cover FD Series Box is made of chrome plated malleable iron with epoxy powder coated copper free aluminum finish. The 2-Gang box has capacity of 65 cubic inches and comes with two mounting lugs. It measures 6.500 Inch x 2.690 Inch x 5.880 Inch. Box is corrosion resistant, weather-proof, rain-tight and dust-tight when used in conjunction with cast gasketed covers. It is suitable for indoor/outdoor use. It provides high tensile strength, ductility and superior resistance to impact/shock. It is ideal for use with threaded metal conduit/IMC and features accurately tapped, tapered threads for use with tight/rigid joints, ground continuity. Box can accommodate wiring devices like switches, receptacles and can be used in rough conditions. It can be used as pull box for conductors, allows connection to branch conduit runs, offers openings for making splices/maintenance and is used with all 1-Gang covers. It has ridge top construction that provides positive fit between gasket, box and cover to seal out moisture. Box supports 1/2 - 1-1/2-Inch conduit cable entry. Box can be drilled and tapped on top, bottom, sides. Box is UL listed and meets NEMA standards.
